We finally have a roadmap of new content for D&D releases in 2026. However, it’s not a schedule of first party content. Instead, Wizards of the Coast has unveiled the first quarterly partnered content roadmap for D&D Beyond, starting with Q1 2026, and it signals a bit of a shift in how the platform plans to support creators and players alike.
Rather than surprise releases with no build up, Wizards is committing to advanced communication, giving Dungeon Masters and players a better sense of what’s coming out. For anyone who relies on D&D Beyond as their primary digital table, this is a welcome change.
So, what’s on the way? And what makes this roadmap exciting?
A new approach to partnered content on D&D Beyond
According to Wizards, this roadmap is just the beginning of an ongoing slate of partnered releases. The goal is to treat D&D Beyond as a kind of ecosystem that houses third party content alongside Wizards’ own releases.
Of course not everything will make the cut, which is an important point Wizards addresses directly when discussing platforms limitations.
Q1 2026 Partnered Content Roadmap
The first quarter of 2026 features five partnered releases, each arriving steadily across the quarter.
Exploring Eberron (January 27, 2026)
Created by Keith Baker, the original designer of the Eberron setting, Exploring Eberron is the major highlight of the roadmap. This release dives deep into Eberron’s lore and culture, bringing over forty new character options to D&D Beyond. It also updates the supplement to the 2024 rules.
With new species, feats, and subclasses – including options designed to complement the Artificer – this is a big win for Eberron fans who want proper digital support for their campaign.
The Pugilist Class (Early February)
A long time fan favorite from the DMs Guild, The Pugilist finally makes its way to D&D Beyond. Focused on gritty, fist fighting combat, the class offers a flavorful alternative to traditional martial options. This is another supplement that seems to be getting updated for D&D 2024.
For players looking to step outside the usual class lineup, this is one of the most exciting additions of the quarter.
Faster, Purple Worm! Everybody Dies, Vol. 1 (Late February)
Beadle & Grimm’s chaotic comedy series arrives on D&D Beyond with Faster, Purple Worm! Everybody Dies, Vol. 1. This collection of level 1, one shot campaigns is designed for fast, memorable sessions, and the inclusion of quickplay maps makes it especially appealing for DMs who are short on prep time.
If you enjoy funny and short-form adventures, this one is clearly built for instant play.
Heliana’s Guide to Monster Hunting: Part 2 (Early March)
The second half of Heliana’s Guide to Monster Hunting lands in early March, adapted to take advantage of D&D Beyond’s digital tools. Wizards is upfront about limitations here, the Tamer class will not be included in the Character Builder or Compendium due to current technical limitations.
While this decision will spark discussion among fans, the transparency around it suggests Wizards is trying to set clearer expectations about what partnered content can do on the platform at the moment.
The Griffon’s Saddlebag: Book One (Late March)
Rounding out the quarter is The Griffon’s Saddlebag: Book One, bringing a big collection of beautifully illustrated magic items to D&D Beyond. With Book Two already on the platform, this release completes the set and gives DMs even more ready made loot for their campaigns.
Why this roadmap matters
Beyond the individual releases, the biggest takeaway from this announcement is what it means for the future of D&D Beyond.
A quarterly roadmap gives players time to plan purchases, helps DMs prepare upcoming campaigns, and signals a better relationship between Wizards, creators, and the community.
And with Wizards promising more roadmaps throughout the year, this looks like just the beginning.
