D&D Beyond opens pre-orders for Misplaced Monsters Vol. 2, dropping December 2

D&D Beyond is publishing a second volume of monster stat blocks dreamed up by kids. Misplaced Monsters Volume 2 is now available for pre-order and releases on December 2, with eight new creatures for your campaign.

Volume 2 includes eight monsters, 2 more than the first volume. This will probably be a D&D Beyond exclusive, as the first volume was, though that hasn’t been confirmed.

Misplaced Monsters: Volume Two arrives on December 2, 2026, and pre-orders are open now on the D&D Beyond Marketplace for $7.95. The digital book contains eight kid-designed monsters and one magic item, with game stats, lore, and sketches to look at. Proceeds go to Extra Life, benefiting Seattle Children’s mental and behavioral health programs via the Our Change Foundation.

The first Misplaced Monsters launched as a charity release in partnership with Extra Life. Extra Life is a fundraising program of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals that Wizards of the Coast has supported since 2015. All six monsters in Volume 1 were imagined, described, and illustrated by kids. Wizards’ team then built official 5e stat blocks and professional artwork around the childrens drawings, with each stat block shown alongside the original sketch. The creatures ranged from challenge rating 5 all the way up to 10.

The lineup was suitably fun, including Sheldon the Blueberry Dragon and Coral, a unicorn-like fey creature who blows bubbles and loves of cookies.

Misplaced Monsters is part of a wider run of Extra Life titles on D&D Beyond, including One Grung Above, Locathah Rising, The Tortle Package, and Lost Laboratory of Kwalish.
