And a release window too!
Today we got our very first look at Resolution Games’ incoming D&D game. They are the creators of the excellent Demeo, that emulated classic tabletop RPG dungeon crawlers in VR and, in my opinion, is one of the most immersive top down video games around.
Because of this, I’ve obviously been very excited to see just what’s been cooking and it’s looking promising.
Gameplay reveal
Battlemarked will come with 2 whole campaigns at launch with more coming later as DLC. We know one of these will be set in Neverwinter with the other campaign still to be revealed. It sounds like we’ll get glimpses into Neverwinter wood, Cragmaw Castle and Mount Hotenow along with other locales.
Gameplay appears to follow quite closely that which players have experienced already with Demeo, but blending in D&D and a greater narrative focus.
You can check out the gameplay reveal in all its glory in the video below:
When does it arrive and on what?
We haven’t been granted a release date just yet, but a release window of late 2025 has been committed to so shouldn’t be too much longer until we have Battlemarked in our hands.
It’s launching on all major VR devices including PC VR, Playstation VR, Quest (2, 3 and pro), PC and PS5. From my experience, VR will be the best way to experience this if you have a headset.
