Wizards of the Coast has opened pre-orders for the newest supplement set in Eberron, a place where magic drives technological invention and the arcane arms race creates high-stakes adventure. This upcoming supplement is called ‘Forge of the Artificer’ and includes the Artificer, D&D’s magical inventor class, introducing a version for the 2024 edition of the game.

- An updated artificer class
- Four updated artificer subclasses
- One brand new artificer subclass: the Cartographer
- Five revised player species; Shifter, Changeling, Warforged, Kalashtar and the Khoravar, Eberron’s take on half-elves. This an interesting note as standard half elves were removed from the 2024 core rules
- Seventeen new character backgrounds
- Twenty eight new feats
- A selection of new spells and magic items
- Additional bastion options to anchor characters in the world
- Three detailed campaign models based on distinct genres: fantasy noir, political drama, and pulp-style adventure
- Over twenty new monsters tied to each campaign theme
